The Fault in Our Stars is a novel by John Green. It is his fourth solo novel, and sixth novel overall. It was published on January 10, 2012. The title is inspired by Act 1, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, in which the nobleman Cassius says to Brutus: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings." The story is narrated by Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old girl with thyroid cancer that has affected her lungs. Quelle claque ! Pas loin du coup de cœur ! J'ai adoré cette lecture, du début à la fin. Parfois, c'était difficile de m'arrêter tellement que je voulais en connaître toute l'histoire. Les larmes n'ont pas manqué à l'appel. L'histoire entre Hazel et Augustus m'a bien marquée... J'hésite à regarder l'adaptation cinématographique mais ma sœur me déconseille de le faire. Je recommande cette lecture qui mêle des réflexions sur la vie, le cancer, la relation avec ses proches, la réalisation d'un rêve, l'amour entre deux adolescents... Peut-on s'accorder de vivre comme tout le monde (/adolescent) alors que tout espoir de vivre plus longtemps est réduit à néant ?

I am gonna be a man and admit that this book hit me at a deeper level. I was invested in the characters, laughing and crying along with them. I should have given this book a chance when I first heard of it. I would recommend you pick this one up and read it if you haven't yet, if you are anything like me you wont regret it.
