It was really fun to read (and steamy!) but I felt like it glossed over some key details to the Persephone-Hades story, like the complete lack of pomegranate seeds or bargaining about how long to stay in the Underworld. I think it’s also personal preference (and more a reflection on my sensibilities with this kind of fan fiction more than anything else), but I didn’t love the wholesale translation of the Greek mythological world into an Athens where there were iPhones, find my friends, and clickbait. It’s not just because of their existence — I think a modern adaptation would be really interesting — and I thought the setup of the gods with their night clubs was clever. Anyways, it doesn’t have to be that deep. An enjoyable, breezy read.
