I feel like reading The Salvagers was a nice way to get back into the hang of reading; I've been a fan of JMG for some time now and knew that his books would give me some nice hard sci-fi goodness. At times I felt like the dialogue was a bit stiff, but the plot more than makes up for it. All in all, pretty enjoyable, I could certainly recommend.
